It's been a little while since I've updated any and all who might be following me, but for that aren't aware, I've decided to make a rather large move in my life. I've been studying Strategic Management and Branding at the University of Innsbruck in the heart of the Alps in Innsbruck, Austria. The University is the best-rated in Austria and School of Management is well-respected and their interest in the economic welfare of Austria has provided enormous advantage and insight. I have had the opportunity to work with an international group of students for companies like Stiegl (a Salzburg-based Brewery) and Austria's Tierschutzverein (Animal Protection Agency). This move was not without sacrifice of course, however, I still provide consulting and marketing assistance and travel frequently back to the US.

I had the extreme pleasure to meet with board members of Fisher's Club, in Avon, MN. Since 1932, Fisher's Club has provided area resorters and residers alike a haven for good fun and great food. Part-owned by Radio Personality Garrison Keillor, it's known by locals for it's walleye, homemade potato salad, pies, and a darn good wine and beer list. Bring your own hard liquor if you choose. I recently had the opportunity to meet with Brianda Cediel, founder of the St. Cloud-based organization, Hands Across the World (HAW). Brianda has worked tirelessly and often on a shoe-string budget to fund HAW, a MN registered Non-profit "to provide a first contact for newly arrived immigrants and refugees who do not have the language or living skills to thrive in our community. In a classroom environment we help both children and parents acquire the tools needed to become integrated citizens of Central Minnesota." HAW is in need of a website that more effectively spreads the word about their initiatives, open communication lines for those wishing to donate or volunteer their time, and paint a more accurate picture of the transition for these, the newest members of this changing St. Cloud community.
